ITA, Unicamp, Petrobras and the Armed Forces already trained backup with us

When ITA, Unicamp, USP, Petrobras, Dataprev, SERPRO, the Brazilian Navy and the Armed Forces needed to train their backup teams, they trained with us. That’s over 100 classes in a decade — Dataprev (20+), SERPRO (15+), Petrobras (5) and dozens of other public and private institutions.

What the in-company training looks like

  • 24 class-hours, usually over 3 days, up to 8 students per class.
  • Training + real deployment: by the end, the backup environment is running in production, at the client’s discretion.
  • Content: types, myths, topologies and strategies (GFS), virtual-machine backup, databases, email servers, cloud and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Digital certificate for those with 75%+ attendance.
  • Bacula, BareOS and PodHeitor — the most widely used open-source backup stack in the world, with no per-TB license.

The instructor is Heitor Faria: MSc in Applied Computing (UnB), author of 5 editions of the Bacula book (PT/EN/ES), official instructor for 17+ years, with 5,600+ students in 86 countries and an EB-1 visa (extraordinary ability, USA).

👉 Train the team that protects your organization’s data. Book an in-company class on Bacula / BareOS / PodHeitor — on-site or remote, in PT, EN or ES.
